Free NMS2S Transition Help for New Mexico Dispensaries

Albuquerque Cannabis Technology Company Offers Free Transition Help to Any New Mexico Dispensary Ahead of Mandatory State System Change

Leafnet extends support to operators statewide, regardless of which point-of-sale system they use, as the state moves from BioTrack to NMS2S

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — August 24, 2026 — Leafnet, an Albuquerque-based cannabis point-of-sale and compliance software company, announced today it is offering free, hands-on assistance to any New Mexico cannabis dispensary navigating the state's mandatory transition from BioTrack to the New Mexico Seed-to-Sale System (NMS2S), regardless of which point-of-sale platform an operator currently uses.

The New Mexico Cannabis Control Division (CCD) is transitioning the state's cannabis industry from BioTrack, the track-and-trace system in place since 2015, to NMS2S, a new platform built for the state by Albuquerque-based Real Time Solutions. The transition began August 25 and reaches full retail cutover at 12:01 a.m. on September 4, 2026, after which all cannabis sales activity in the state must be conducted through NMS2S.

Under CCD's published timeline, retailers face an extended window without new inventory transfers, from 5:00 p.m. on August 25 through September 2, as the state's systems migrate. Full cutover falls two days later, at the start of Labor Day weekend, when CCD's dedicated help line is not staffed.

Leafnet's offer is open to any New Mexico dispensary, including those currently using Dutchie, Treez, Cova, BLAZE, or other platforms. The company is providing guidance on BioTrack inventory reconciliation, NM-PLUS account setup, and preparation for the September 4 cutover, at no cost and without any sales requirement.
